This year I'm keeping things pretty simple because, why not? This is my current favorite way to wear my hair; the basic claw clip twist- with a little added sparkle!

After shopping around on several sites I found a beautiful set of clips (one clear, one black- both with the same gold chain detail) on amazon!

To achieve this look I brushed all of my hair to the back (minus a couple of face framing pieces) and started the twist at the nape of my neck. I twisted upward and then folded the hair back down once I reached the spot where I wanted the top of the clip to sit.

I then did my best to hide the ends (those of you with hair shorter than mine will find this a lot easier than I did) and finally put the clip in place.

Note: once you place the clip the hair is all quite secure. Don't expect to loosen it or add texture at this point.

Happy Holidays!

It's no secret that I've been going all in with the Christmas decorations, traditions, and brainstorming festive beauty looks that suit our modified celebrations this year!

In honor of the holiday season, It's clearly the perfect time to share a tribute in photos to our real Brides- and show off how just how amazing they looked on their wedding days!

Grab a hot chocolate before wrapping up in your coziest blanket, and scroll on for some of my favorite pictures from our winter brides- including some that I've never shared before.

We all know it's no big secret that I just love accessories, and the bolder the better! My messy bun look is the perfect pairing with this embellished velvet headband, and I promise you that the style is DIY friendly!

I like to start off with second day wavy hair and apply some dry shampoo. Then I brush all but my face framing pieces into a low pony (after teasing my crown generously).

Next, I pull the sides down to cover most of my ears, and then I pull the top upward for messy, imperfect volume.

Now I'm ready for the bun. I tease the entire pony with my brush and then roll and bobby pin it into place. The key here is that it is okay to make the bun shape a little flat to the head in order to be able to make it appear wide and full.

And remember, this style (like most others) will be different every time you do it, and that's part of what makes it special. Have fun with it, and don't expect perfection of yourself. This is a relaxed look.

For a little added guidance, be sure to check out my IGTV video tutorial of this look.
